As a result of this achievement, he broke the Guinness World Record for the most selfies taken. Akshay Kumar took 184 self-portraits in three minutes and credited them all to his fans. He broke James Smith's previous world record of 168 selfies in three minutes (USA).
Smith accomplished the feat on the Carnival Dream cruise ship on January 22, 2018. Prior to this, Dwayne Johnson, a global superstar and Hollywood performer, set the record with 105 selfies taken in three minutes at the San Andreas film premiere in London in 2015.
