In response, Akshay Kumar revealed why he was not performing Hera Pheri 3 at a public event. After seeing the uproar on social media, producer Firoz Nadiadwala approached Akshay about rejoining the OG Trio. And now we know about something exciting and tangible.

Hera Pheri 3 Release Date

Last year, Akshay Kumar cited a "half-baked script" as the reason he did not work on Hera Pheri 3. However, it appears that the producers have agreed to change the script in response to his request. According to reports, Akshay Kumar and producer Firoz Nadiadwala found common ground and decided to bring Hera Pheri 3 to the big screen. 

The actor recently met with the producer and other major cast members, including Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, at Empire Studios in Mumbai. They have discussed bringing Aawara Pagal Deewana 2 and Welcome 3 in addition to Hera Pheri 3.

Hera Pheri 3 Shoot Begins

In the third installment of Hera Pheri, the OG trio of Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh will reprise their iconic roles of Raju, Shyam, and Baburao. According to Pinkvilla, the team has begun filming at Empire Studios in Mumbai today. However, information about the director and the supporting cast has been withheld.

Previously, it was reported that Dream Girl director Raaj Shandilyaa would direct the project, but in response to Filmybaap's Instagram post about it, he clarifies that he is not directing Hera Pheri 3. Interestingly, Hera Pheri, the first film in the comedy franchise, also had its muhurat shot at Empire Studios 24 years ago. The film is set to be released in theatres.
